Cameron + Brittany 12.19.20
Ahhh! My best friend is engaged and I was there to capture it all!! Cameron called me the first week of December and said, "So... I got Brittany a ring" and I stopped him right there and said, "wait a minute, you did WHAT?!" And yes, it was true! We had originally planned to take pictures of them that upcoming weekend, but something came up and we weren't able to. We finally picked a day 12/20/20. The Friday before the proposal comes and looking at the weather for Sunday, I became very nervous because it said it was going to rain ALL day. It was so hard to talk to Cameron because Brittany is my literal best friend and I know her.. she loves to be nosey and y'all, she hates surprises lol. But, I was able to talk with Cameron and let him know we needed to move it up to Saturday instead. 12/19/20 was going to be the day!

Brittany knew we were taking pictures, but had no idea it was going to be her proposal! I told her about the rain situation and she agreed we should move it to Saturday. Well Saturday comes and I'm feeling super nervous. This is such a big deal to me and I want it to go over smoothly without her finding out anything! It's hard to keep a secret from your best friend for this long. I decided on doing their proposal at this pond in Falcon, NC. Brittany's family lives in Falcon and she grew up playing around this pond.

A little sweet detail that even I forgot about until AFTER the proposal when Brittany reminded me is that she has always wanted to get proposed there! I just love how God incorporates the desires of our hearts into little details such as the location of her proposal without me even remembering this ahead of time!

Anyways, we get to the pond and we start taking pictures right beside the pond. I told Cameron it's best to go ahead and get the proposal done at the beginning of our session so that she can enjoy all of her pictures with her beautiful new ring! I tell Cameron that I want him to run from behind her and pick her up and spin her around. We snap pictures of this and then I ask him to do it again because they turned out blurry (lies lol). He goes back and she thinks he's going to pick her up again but he ends up getting down on one knee, saying her name and saying "I'm really nervous... will you marry me?"

The sweetest moment ever!! Brittany was in TOTAL shock and just could not believe it. I honestly can't believe we surprised her like we did lol. It was one of my favorite proposals ever and always will be! We spent the rest of the session giggling, drinking a few beers and celebrating the newly engaged couple!

If you've made it to this point, thanks for reading my first blog post about my favorite proposal session from 2020. Check out my instagram and facebook to find out when I'll post my next blog.
